Technology has been with the general public since the 1990′s when the desktop PC’s appeared, and the public began to  take them home. It has radically changed our world in fundamental ways. Has this technological infiltration moved us toward a greater good or is it another toy we play with and throw away when bored?

Technology has made communication increase not only within our patch of the woods, but also across the globe. Communication has become the property of the public instead of a government. The benefits of this shift is enormous. There are many avenues to express your expertise and opinions in multiple formats.It has become so important to the global public that when entities attempt to reign in communication, a firestorm of protest shoots through the network at light speed. And yet, in great wisdom structures have been made within the Internet to allow hubs. This lets groups whose need of constraints do that within that small piece of the Net. A person joins that group voluntarily in most cases. Communication and the Internet live in a paradox in which there is freedom of speech on a global level, while at the same time addressing each individual’s need for rules on their level. Freedom, toleration, and taking care of your brother whether he appreciates it or not. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of your happiness or bliss on your terms.

There are many benefits of technology, but this core belief about free communication is the mother which gives birth to all else that one experiences and sees on the Internet. The fierceness in which the global community protects this is the evidence.

Social media are tools found on the Internet such as Twitter, Flickr, and Google Buzz. There are many more than those out there in the cyber universe. There sole purpose is to communicate. There are no rules really except what the norms of the group sets. Even then any good Interneter enjoys the surprise of a communication that is ironic, satiric, or in your face. These rebukes usually make one laugh at yourself and society. It is true there is a large portion of chitchat and small talk going on.  Mixed among the small talk is expert advice, deep thinking, and intriguing conversations. In those conversations there is a social conscience that wants to change or save people from suffering, poverty, or evil.

Social conscience is the philosophy you are your brothers and sisters keeper where ever they are at out in the world. Though you may not be able to alleviate the ills of a society on a large scale, you definitely can do it with the individuals you meet in your part of the world or cyberspace. If you pay too much attention to the small talk you might get the sense that social conscience is dying. Social conscience is increasing. Our means of communication as we travel around the globe lets us notify the world of what is seen on the ground in the actual location. It is that initial emotional reaction that we text that gives the world the sense of the situation at hand. No time to rationalize. People react to the text by sharing information about groups that all ready have a solution.

The Successor to the Wii

Everyone wonders when it’ll all stop–new system after new system after new system. The gaming world will never end; face it, it’s the truth. However, one thing’s for sure: you won’t expect any new hardware releases from Microsoft or Sony on that field. With the PlayStation Move and XBOX Kinect as well as three different PlayStation versions and two XBOX models out there, pretty much both of those two platforms are maxed out until they establish the next innovation in gaming technology. One system remains to make one step forward into the gaming world….

And that is the Nintendo Wii.

You’d expect the corporate gaming giant to strike hard against some of Microsoft and Sony’s advancements. The truth is this: you’re absolutely right!

Apparently the news is Nintendo will be announcing a new console at this year’s Electronics Show 2011 in Los Angeles. Surprised? Most aren’t. Moreover, rumor has it this console will be HD capable, matching the quality of the XBOX and PlayStation 3. That’s an exciting thought. After all, the technological capability of both the XBOX and PlayStation did rival that of the Wii; apparently Nintendo’s ready to step it up!

Details on what this new console will include as well as an official name are still unclear. Sources claim this system will debut in late 2012…. Long time to wait. Thankfully, though, you might get some inside info from the Big ‘N’ soon! Watch out for it; Mario’s coming again soon. And he’s definitely taking no prisoners.
